The National Institute of Accountants (NIA), a recognised professional accounting body in Australia, has a vacancy for a Membership & Professional Development Assistant to occupy a vital role in it’s small dynamic team in Queensland.

You will be responsible for all reception and administration duties including answering phones, filing, the co-ordination of supplies and requirements for the on site training room. You will co-ordinate all facets of the reception area whilst continuously promoting the organisation and representing it to the members and general public in a highly professional manner.

The role also offers considerable scope in the provision of assistance and support to both the Membership Services Officer and the Professional Development Officer. You will assist with the implementation of marketing activities and campaigns and customer service initiatives. Support is also required with the delivery of a comprehensive Professional Development Training program throughout locations in Queensland and also within the on site training room facility.

Key duties and responsibilities:

· Provide exceptional customer service to members and key stakeholders of the organisation
· Greet members and visitors on the phone and in person at reception
· Have excellent written and oral communication skills
· Ensure effective coordination of the reception area
· Confidently respond to membership enquiries, process and maintain the membership database and assist with the preparation of membership reports and statistics
· Work as part of a team to promote all membership campaigns including the member retention and growth programs
· Have a high attention to detail and be able to work autonomously on projects
· Always present professionally for all internal and external meetings and as the first point of contact for visitors within the Division
· To liaise with National Office staff regarding Queensland Divisional members

To be successful you will have demonstrated previous experience in an administrative position (at least three years). Strong intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills are essential with the ability to learn new systems. Previous experience in data entry and database management while not essential, will be considered favourably. You will also have the flexibility to travel interstate for training as required.
